Taking care of your VW or Audi is important, and knowing what to do when something comes up is important. During normal service and repair any shop should be checking your coolant level to ensure that everything is operating properly.
A coolant light on your VW or Audi can be a few different things. We have a video below that explains in more detail on this subject, but here is a quick checklist of things to do if you have a coolant light on in your VW or Audi.
Things to Check
- Make Sure the vehicle has coolant in it (don’t put green coolant in)
- If your Coolant is low top it off with water or the correct G13 Coolant
- Make sure the vehicle is not overheating (temp gauge generally in the middle not moving)
- If your vehicle is overheat Do NOT continue to drive it.
If you have done these basic steps and your VW or Audi and they check out to be ok you will likely need further diagnosis.
